Hello and Welcome to What Tina Said!
I am not new to blogging. In fact, this will be blog number five! I guess, I’ve always felt a little restricted with all the other blogs based on their niches. A valuable lesson I have learned throughout my blogging journey is that what I write won’t always suit everyones taste.
IT ALL STARTED IN 2011….
I first started blogging in 2011 when I was diagnosed with Endometriosis. The blog was about, you guessed it, being diagnosed with Endometriosis. It was a great little blog but as soon as I fell pregnant with my first child I felt I couldn’t share my life as a new mum when other women were struggling with infertility. So, I said goodbye and got rid.
The most popular blog I authored was Mummy Chronicles. I loved this blog whole heartedly. I blogged consistently for about 2 years and my little blog grew. In July 2013 I lost my mum and was riddled with guilt. I carried on blogging but it didn’t feel real any more. I couldn’t share my grief online because I didn’t know how. Talking about my feelings was more than hard at that point in my life. In addition, as a family, we were going through some medical issues with our first born and I was on the receiving end of some work place bullying. With everything going on my love for the blog died and in 2014 I decided to just put a lid on it and be done with it. Picking it up and putting it down wasn’t helping with how I was feeling at the time.
Sunshine Scribbles was the third blog but is hardly worthy of mention and the fourth is that of my business. Because there is a sincere lack of “blogging” over on that site we will just call it a “website”.
I MISSED WRITING….
Writing is something I have always found great solace in. I often spill out all this stuff in my head and they read like blog posts. I get that I sound a little crazy writing that but these things just pop into my head and I wish I had written them down. So, I decided this time round that I won’t define this blog, as such, but rather just write the stuff mentioned above and see where this journey takes me. If I say it’s a “lifestyle” blog of sorts I feel it gives me the freedom to write about pretty much anything hence the tag line of “My life, My way!”
THINGS YOU MIGHT FIND HERE…
Amongst the daily musing of life in general, you are likely to see posts detailing my journey as a mumpreneur. I am a stay at home mum and so there is likely to be some parenting type posts too although probably not like those you’re used to reading on a parenting blog. Hopefully there is something here that you like and I hope you stick around for more of whatever this turns out to be.
