Today was an awesome Bank Holiday Monday. After an “eventful” day yesterday we decided to take a day trip La Pequena Africa, a zoo in Spain. We’d seen it advertised in a local flower shop when picking out our wedding flowers over a year ago. We love visiting wildlife parks but we didn’t feel drawn to this one. From memory the advert showed a little girl riding a horse on barren land and it didn’t look worth a visit. The leaflet truly didn’t do this wildlife park any justice. It was absolutely amazing and the kids loved it.
LA PEQUENA AFRICA, A HIDDEN GEM…..
It is situated in the little Spanish town Jimena de la Frontera. It’s fairly close to Gibraltar and we have been there hundreds of times. Never did we know this little gem was tucked away down a little lane off one of the main roads. I was expecting a small zoo however its fairly large with lots of activities for the kids.
