Health and Fitness in Motherhood

13th June 2018

Health and fitness in motherhood. It is one of those topics that every mum wants to talk about but it’s not really a conversation they want to be having. As a mum of two I totally get why because I was one of those people. Sometimes I still am. It is hard to have a conversation about a topic that plays havoc with your mindset when it comes to body image.

PREGNANCY AND MOTHERHOOD…..

Let’s talk about pregnancy and motherhood. These two jobs are without a doubt the hardest jobs I have ever had. Pregnancy is such a beautiful thing. Our bodies are amazing machines. I loved being pregnant. At every chance I had I’d glance at my growing bump. If I was walking past a shop window or a mirror I’d admire my pregnant body. My husband also loved my pregnant body and he’d tell me every day how beautiful I looked. No matter how beautiful pregnancy is, growing and nurturing a human is no walk in the park.

24 weeks pregnant with my second son

Only a woman who has experienced pregnancy knows the true affect that it has on the body. Stretch marks, sagging skin and bulging bellies are just some of the visible changes we go through. [Read more…]

When you feel like giving up – Mental Health set backs

6th June 2018

I recently shared a post talking about the ways I like to try to keep a positive mindset. It feels strange therefore talking about times when you feel like giving up due to mental health set backs. There is good reason for this post. This blog was designed to share the good, the bad and the ugly of life as a mumpreneur and so I am doing just that. This past week has been really hard and truly testing on my mental health.

THE WORLDS INABILITY TO TALK ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH…..

I don’t know why the human race struggles to share their mental health issues. I am included in this statement although I am trying to break the mould and be more open with my mental health struggles. If I am honest and I look back at my life I can see that I have suffered with mental health issues on and off since my mid teens. [Read more…]

Positive thinking and the law of attraction

4th June 2018

Positive thinking and the law of attraction are two things that I try really hard to practise on a daily basis. Positive thinking doesn’t come naturally to me and it’s something I have to work hard at. I strongly believe that positive thinking can turn the not so good situations into better situations. Likewise, I believe that the law of attraction helps us to attract the things we want into our lives. In today’s blog I thought I would share a time in my life where I believe positive thinking and the law of attraction worked for me. I will also be sharing some techniques I use to maintain a positive mindset and how I practise the law of attraction.

I HAD A 2% CHANCE OF CONCEIVING…..

If you’ve read my story you’ll know that in 2011 I was diagnosed with Endometriosis. The Gyneacologist told me I was infertile and gave me a 2% chance of conceiving. After my initial diagnosis I underwent surgery and started treatment straight away. One of the two treatments was to medically induce an artificial menopause. [Read more…]
